Jaguar E-Type Parts: What's Still Available and What's Been Reproduced

The Jaguar E-Type parts situation is simultaneously better and worse than people expect. Better because the iconic status has sustained a reproduction industry for decades. Worse because the market has concentrated on visible parts, leaving interior trim and body fasteners in genuine unobtainium territory.

What Is Still Available New

Jaguar Heritage covers body seal sets, windscreen rubber, and certain chrome exterior trim. SNG Barratt supplies a significant range of mechanical and electrical components.

Interior Trim: The Gap in the Market

The Series 1 toggle switch surrounds — ivory/cream bezels unique to the early E-Type — are not available from any mainstream supplier. The carpet fastener clips securing the transmission tunnel carpet have been unavailable from Jaguar for many years. The headlining bow end fittings — aluminium-finished clips — are broken on a high proportion of surviving cars.

Body Clips and Fasteners

The bonnet stay clips, wiring loom P-clips, and nylon wing fasteners on the Series 1 are either unavailable or only available in incorrect modern equivalents produced to different BSF dimensions.

What Specialists Have Reproduced

AutoClassicX stocks reproduced E-Type interior trim and body clips, produced from surviving originals. Our part enquiry service covers all three series.
