Between 1979 and 1991, Mercedes-Benz produced the W126 S-Class — a car many automotive historians regard as the finest expression of the company's engineering philosophy. Today, the cars that survive are in the hands of dedicated restorers discovering, one part at a time, just how difficult the W126 has become to keep original.
